The announcement added that the partnership has also supported Rwanda's objective to emerge as an worldwide athletic destination in Africa and welcome more worldwide tournaments while delivering local football projects that have assisted numerous youth athletes and coaches develop their skills and inspire greater participation in athletics nationwide.
Richard Garlick, Arsenal's top executive, described the partnership as a “significant journey” and claimed it had been “driving forward” the club's ambitions.
But that is not how a section of Arsenal's fanbase, with the campaign group Gunners for Peace demonstrating outside the North London venue during the first leg of the Champions League semi-final against the French club in April's conclusion.
Demonstrators showed a banner that read “Drop Visit Rwanda” and distributed armbands to conceal the partnership emblem on uniforms.
In the same month, PSG extended their sponsorship arrangement with Visit Rwanda through 2028.
Simultaneously, the Spanish club inked a recent contract for the equivalent timeframe that has led to the logo being carried on the La Liga side's men's and women's shirts.
