A high-ranking Russian military figure has been declared dead following an detonation in Moscow, according to official statements.
The attack took place on Monday morning when an explosive device placed beneath a vehicle was set off, causing the death of Lieutenant General Fanil Sarvarov.
Sarvarov was the head of the armed forces' department for training operations.
Investigators mentioned that one possible explanation points to the potential involvement of Ukrainian intelligence services. To date, Ukraine has offered no public response.
